At last, after a week's delay due to incessant rain, the sun shone and Gildredge Park bowlers looked resplendent for the 2024 opening drive. The green protection mats were out because the greens were still a bit spongy. Rusty arms slowly awakened and bowls were getting closer and closer to the jack An enjoyable afternoon was followed by pizza and a quiz. It was two4one at the pizza shop, and members sat down to a pile of pizza that catered for the hungriest mouths plus take-homes for breakfast and lunch the next day! A fun quiz followed and prizes were awarded.
